Dear MayCham Members,
In today's highly competitive academic landscape, parents are keen to provide the best education they can afford for their next generation. For the past few decades, studying abroad has been a popular option for youngsters not only to advance their education but also to learn more about other cultures to help broadening their views and perspectives.
We cordially invite you to join our luncheon on Saturday, 11 January, 2020 with Ms. Ann Bridgewater who is a practicing psychologist and has been working with many families in Hong Kong for the past 20 years. Ann will share with us the importance and benefits of building resilience to overcome some of life challenging experiences. The ability to bounce back from difficult experiences is often critical to future successes in education and career, mental and physical health, and interpersonal relationships.
In addition, Mr. Cesar Lardies Rivas, Head of Education Consulting at the NTK Academic Group, will share his know-how in overseas education planning in both US and the UK along with the most updated admission requirements for boarding schools and universities in both countries.
Having extensive coaching experiences in essay writing and school interviews, Cesar is an experienced professional with a sincere passion for education. He also has a proven track record of developing his student candidates' profiles and shaping their academic goals to match with their respective career aspirations. Cesar is a Johns Hopkins alumnus with extensive knowledge of the American education system as well as many of the key entrance examinations, including SAT, ACT and SSAT.
Joining Ann and Cesar on the day is Mr. Armhawan Darsono, Executive Director of Charles Monat Associates Ltd. He will share his broad knowledge on financial planning solutions for overseas education.
