Victor Dawes
Barrister, Senior Counsel, Chairman of the Hong Kong Bar Association
Victor is a practising Senior Counsel from Temple Chambers. He is currently the Chairman of the Hong Kong Bar Association, the profession association of the barristers in Hong Kong. He is a Recorder of the High Court and also sits on the Judicial Officers Recommendation Commission.

Victor also takes a keen interest in Hong Kong role as an international financial centre. He is a non-executive director of the Securities and Futures Commission and the Chairman of the Investor and Financial Education Council

Basil Hwang
Managing Partner at Hauzen, LLP
Basil Hwang is the Managing Partner of Hauzen LLP, a financial regulatory law firm. He is a specialist in the laws of the financial markets – including regulation, disputes, investigations, complex transactions and insolvency. He is also the Vice Chairman of the Singapore Chamber of Commerce (Hong Kong).

Prior to founding Hauzen LLP, Mr. Hwang was the founder and managing partner of a US law firm for seven years, an executive director of a Hong Kong Mainboard-listed company, and the general counsel and independent director at other companies listed in Hong Kong and Singapore.
Mr. Hwang is admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong, as a solicitor in England and Wales, and as an advocate and solicitor in Singapore.

He holds a LL.B. (Hons) degree from the National University of Singapore, and a Master of Science in Global Finance jointly conferred by HKUST and the NYU Stern School of Business.
