    Raymond Yeung

    Chief Economist, Greater China at Australia and New Zealand Banking Group

    Raymond is a veteran China economist, overseeing a research team based in Hong
    Kong and Shanghai. The team was awarded #1 by KangaNews for Asian Research Pool
    four times (2017-2022) and #2 by Asiamoney for Asian Macroeconomic Research in
    2016. He authored China’s Trump Card Cryptocurrency and its Game-Changing Role in
    Sino-US Trade published by John Wiley & Son.

    Raymond’s unique perspective has garnered a strong following among ANZ’s
    institutional clients, including asset managers, central banks, and corporate treasurers.
    During his 14 years at ANZ, he has predicted significant changes in China's growth and
    monetary policy multiple times, including the stimulus in September 2024.
    He frequently delivers presentations at industry conferences and offers his insights on
    platforms such as Bloomberg, CNBC, and Di Yi Cai Jing. He is regularly invited to
    engage in consultative meetings with Chinese authorities, representative offices of
    foreign governments, and supranational organisations.

    Raymond earned a Ph.D. in economics at Queen’s University, Canada, a holder of
    Financial Risk Manager (FRM) and a Steering Group Member of China Chief Economist
    Forum. He started his career in 1997 after his postgraduate training. Prior to joining
    ANZ in 2010, Raymond was Deputy Head of Asia Economic Research at Swiss Re.

    Brian WONG is an Assistant Professor in Philosophy at the University of Hong Kong. His research examines the intersection of geopolitics, political and moral philosophy, and technology, with particular interests in the ethics and dynamics of authoritarian regimes and their foreign policies, responding to historical and colonial injustices, and the impact of automation on labour and human societies. Brian is a Fellow at the newly established Centre on Contemporary China and the World, at the University of Hong Kong. As the Chief Strategy Officer of the HK-ASEAN Foundation, he advises multinational corporations, family offices, and leading think-tanks on geopolitical affairs and macro risks throughout Asia.

    Having co-founded and served as the inaugural Editor-in-Chief at the Oxford Political Review, a publication aspiring to bridge the theory-practice gap, Brian serves as a columnist at the Hong Kong Economic Journal. His writings on Chinese political economy, Asian geopolitics, and public philosophy have been featured in publications such as TIME, Foreign Policy, Aeon, Financial Times, Diplomat, Fortune, The Hindu, South China Morning Post, Nikkei, Japan Times, and the US-Asia Law Institute. He has also been interviewed by CNN, Al Jazeera, and CGTN for his views on Chinese foreign policy. A Rhodes Scholar (HKSAR, 2020), Brian holds a DPhil in Politics, an MPhil in Political Theory (Distinction), and an MA in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from the University of Oxford.

    Donna is a finance director with experience spanning over 20 years in APAC regions both in regional and group level, with expertise in transformation and governance. Donna is a Chartered Accountant and was appointed as the Chair of the Hong Kong Council of Chartered Accountant Australia & New Zealand Hong Kong Council in 2025.

    Her commitment to sustainability and education is evident in her roles as the Strategy Chair for UNESCO Hong Kong Association GPC and as a member of the Business Advisory Committee for Hong Kong Baptist University, a position she assumed in 2022. Donna also serves as a subcommittee member of WiN (Women Internal Network) of MAYCHAM.
