    May Tan was the CEO of Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong ) Limited (SCBHK) for three years before her retirement in 2017.

    May joined the SCBHK Board in 2009 when the bank acquired Cazenove Asia. May was CEO of Cazenove Asia from 1993 till 2009 and was made a partner of Cazenove & Co in 1995.

    She is currently an Independent Non Executive Director (INED) on several listed and non listed corporate boards including HKEX listed LINK REIT and CLP Holdings.

    May supports several charitable organisations. She was Vice Chairman of Oxfam Hong Kong from 2008-2017 and remains as Senior Adviser to the Oxfam Council and a member of the Fundraising Committee. Since 2014, May has been on the board of Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation.

    She continues to be active in public service and is a member of the Standing Committee on Judicial Salaries and Conditions of Service since 2015. In 2016 she was Chair of the Hong Kong Association of Banks, Director of the Hong Kong Interbank Clearing, member of the Exchange Fund Advisory Committee and a member of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. From 2014-2017, May was Vice President of the Hong Kong Institute of Bankers and a member of the Banking Advisory Committee and a member of the HKEX Listing Committee (2012-2015) and a member of the Takeovers and Mergers Panel (2001-2013).

    Michelle is responsible for the end to end vision and strategy to curate, implement and execute the Global Diversity and Inclusion (DEI) agenda. Her scope of work covers, Manulife/John workforce, workplaces, local communities, and their wider marketplace efforts, just to name a few. Prior to joining Manulife/John Hancock, Taylor-Jones spent 12+years at Dell Technologies as a key Diversity and Inclusion Leader focused on developing and leading strategic agenda and relationships with key internal and external partners in support of Dell’s broader D&I efforts. All efforts were aimed at attracting, developing and retaining underrepresented talent while also promoting Dell’s brand externally with diverse candidates, customers, suppliers, and entrepreneurs through strategic programs, sponsorships and customized initiatives that reinforces ethnic and cultural empowerment.

    Michelle has over 21 years of experience as an executive leader in Small Business Banking, Talent Management, Executive Recruiting, and Diversity and Inclusion, at various Fortune 100 and 500 Companies. Michelle has numerous honors, most recently recognized for her outstanding work of supporting women by the National Association of Female Executives (NAFE), she was awarded NAFE 2019 Woman of Excellence, as Diversity Innovator. Her other honors include: The Network Journal Magazine as one of “25 Most Influential Women in Business” she is a sought-after speaker and has been featured on numerous panels and publications.

    Michelle is the co-founder of Black Women of Influence (BWOI), a New York Based organization for Mid-Executive Level Multicultural Women, she belongs to the Executive Board of the Joe Torre Safe at Home Foundation, an organization that provides hope and healing for children experiencing trauma and violence , but She is most proud of her tireless efforts as an advocate against violence of women and children globally.

    She Authored her first book, “Sonnets from My Soul,” a collection of inspirational poetry published as a gift to her children, Alyssa and Tyler.
